SAAB 2.8T Misfires P0300 Coils and Plugs | AnotherSAABChannel

Probably the single most common issue on the Saab B284 2.8L Turbo V6 engine. Heat cooks everything in these engine bays including the ignition coils. - Plugs gapped to 0.85mm. Use NGK LFR7AIX or LFR6AIX for a heat range colder. - 14:35 O-rings can be found on esaabparts.com or source a 1/2" OD, 3/8" ID o-ring. What’s the firing order? I have a misfire in cylinder 6
Exact that kind of information I was looking for in those videos. Thank you .-)
Sorry to say,you’re nuts
I just had my done and mechanic removed the fan which was a little difficult and long hose like you said. Also, the battery box but he didn't touch the front of the vehicle , took 3 hours thxs for video
Спасибо. У нас в сети не нашёл такого видео.
This was like watching the Blair witch project. I threw up twice. J/k the only vid I’ve seen that shows all the connections back there. This is my next project. Currently installing a new radiator. You done one of those?
This new ngk comes with 0.7mm gap, is this not enough?
Väldigt gott jobb❤
Thank you for all your helpful information it really helped. Your video was the only one I could find to help.
Hi, I`m from Europe, having US version. I really do not like these orange side panels, do you think it is easy to replace them with white ones from european version (my xenons are ok so I consider taking these panels from some cheap non-xenon donor)? Or would it be better to get european xenon lamp and replace the whole lamp?
I've seen it done both ways. From what I remember (it's been years) the orange reflector is easily removed. The hardest part of the entire job is just removing the giant plastic lens from the housing. Once you're in there everything is simple enough.
Thanks for video. Could I ask you where to did you buy the headlight/ any link you can share is well appreciated. thanks
All items were purchased through TheRetrofitSource com
Great video. What's the part number for the adapter plate you got?
I want to say it was included with the kit. Order email says part RQ103 from The Retrofit Source. "RQ Brackets / Hardware 2 x RQ Hardware: Hella E55 / EvoX-R (D2S 5.0) $25.00 RQ103"
@@KenCarTechMeow Ordered from RTS before, put projectors on my OG. Good stuff. Thanks for the info, they won't sell it to me directly but I think I found it from them on amazon.
Ive got the same year Saab, except I have the 4 door sedan. Even the same color. The stock headlights are absolutely horrible on those cars. The first upgrade I did when I bought that car was replace the headlights and converted to LED. Ive seen some of the comments arguing that you downgraded, lol... they must not know the dumpster lights that come stock in those cars.
Love the 1970's porn background music
Do us a favor don’t make a video about something u want to sound like you know what ur talking about so bad but then throw in “someone correct me if I’m wrong” or these colors don’t match up! Are u asking for help with those or just stating the colors are different?
You're 11 years late, boss.
When did it turnt on when you drive or when your start?
🐒
@@KenCarTechMeow ?? Mine goes only on when the car is in reverse.. thats why ask when I go forward nothing comes on. Only in cold start
🐵
No pulling pan?! Great!
I'm surprised you did not use the two pack mix silicone rubber to fill the void in the underside of the top mount, turning it into a semi solid mount. It works very well The black ring bearing can be pried apart, the interior cleaned and repacked with lithium grease Reassembled, and refitted.
130°可以了,你设置的温度太高了
bing chilling
Thank for mentioning the sensor that is open.
Does anyone know if these saab engines are the same engine my 2.8 turbo Cadillac SRX has
Yes. They're essentially the same engine. The SRX's turbo is closer in spec to the last generation Saab 9-5 if I remember correctly. For coils and plugs this video should be close enough for your SRX.
@@KenCarTechMeow thank you 👍
Awesome thanks
Would part number 81260 work too instead of 81250?
Looks like the 81260 is a M14 bolt and the 81250 is a M12 bolt. Measure your OEM hardware and see if that's a better fit. I no longer have access to mine sadly.
Or you can pound it in with the old seal!
I have to do this this week, man I hope mine comes off easier than yours! Yikes
How cold or a part number for 2 rings ?
Check the video description.
Do you maybe have a clue why my '07 9-3 Aero Sportswagon (YS3F II) doesn't seem to have the swiveling headlights? Does that feature need to be turned on somewhere or is it only avaible for newer models?
I believe that was 2008 model year and up only, but I may be misremembering.
@@KenCarTechMeow ah well that's unfortunate. Thank you for the quick answer though. I like your content, it's pretty fun to watch ;)
What is the part number or name of the 2 o-rings that you should replace? maybe also what the vac line pn# is or is called. pro tip....always spin plugs or any nut or bolt in reverse slowly till you feel it "seat". this way you will never cross thread.
Are you riding it without the cover ?
10 year old video, boss.
Do you know the weight of this 2,8t engines complete with the gearbox and all the extarnals like alternator and so on...?
I do not.
@@KenCarTechMeow Any guessing?
How durable is this engines, out of your experience? Have you any experience about tuning this engines?
Extremely durable. Google "VTuner Saab".
@@KenCarTechMeow How is it about this cars... Is the front suspension and the engine/gearbox mounted to one and same crossmember so you can unbolt it all from the car and lower it out of the car in one piece? I ask because I'm thinking about to build myselfe a kitcar with mid engine and use it all engine and suspension into the kitcar...
@@TerjeNormann 95% certain I've seen people drop the complete subframe like that, yes. Remember there's a FWD and an AWD "XWD" version. Different subframes and transmissions and other small things between those two.
@@KenCarTechMeow Yes, I know there is a xwd version of this cars as well. But the kitcar I'm planing have mid/rear engine setup, and the frame of the car is made for to put a fwd engine/suspension into the rear of the car. Search for K1 Attack.
what is the name of the vaccum line that you said to be very careful with?
Literally all of them. Stupid hard plastic and hit engines dont mix. Esaabparts dot com for replacements.
Part 7?
Still unedited. Really should get on that.

Great video series.

Do you understand what a projector retrofit is? Did you watch all the parts?
Love the intro lol
As I was walking out of the bank today telling my father hey I’m going to do a oil change on the car today I get back in start her and this is what happens I have a 2007 saab 93 aero on my page in my short video section go check it out 115,000 miles on her
Thank you! I'll be able to replace my own headlight because of your video!
I have no idea where to start on my 93 9k aero, has tcs faults, tps failed, just gonna pull engine i think
Goddam josh
I have a 04 9-3 with xenon headlights. And it seems that the shutters for the high beams are not functioning. Do you have any thoughts on that?
your movie is great, everything was right one hundred percent with the description. in my case, there was only a xenon converter to be replaced, but step-by-step disassembly is great. thanks a lot, I'm sending you from POLAND :)
saab power! 😁
Stesso lavoro lo devo fare sulla mia SAAB 9000 del 95
This is so helpful. Would I still need the relay if I were just to install the white strip and no other leds as you did? Will the White 12 inch strip flash without the relay?
If you're replacing only the eyebrow strip and leaving incandescent bulbs in the turn signals, no relay needed.
This was extremely professional I have been doing this for years I clicked just to look at the ignition coil they sent me a o connection for the green wire on the coil and was lost on why they did that but im just gonna change the connection
Just replaced the sensor on my car today took me an hour. I don't have to removed a lot of things as this video shows. I just removed the airbox pipe, intake to IC pipe and just moved the remaining one aside. It's tight but doable. Slim arms helps a lot. I just use a regular 27mm deep socket but I did have to pull up AC line a little for the socket to go straight to the sensor. Just be careful not to pull on it hard as it could break the line. This video gives me idea. Fix my low oil pressure warning on high rpm/ WOT. Oil sips on the connector side so old sensor is leaking specially when oil pressure is high, it is just a matter of time before it will eventually totally fail. Thanks for the video.
It would have been better if you rubbed rosemary on it before cooking.
